Work is dedicated to the problem of determination of dosimeter placement for interventional radiologists’ effective dose estimation by double dosimetry method. Mathematical simulation of organ doses and dosimeter readouts was performed using Monte-Carlo method. With respect to minimal variations of dosimeters readouts as a function of exposure angles and energies it was found that dosimeter under apron should be worn in the middle of a chest, while specific location of the dosimeter over an apron is not important.

Key words: dosimetry, dosimeters, effective dose, medical staff, interventional radiology, professional exposure, Monte-Carlo method, protective apron.
