Ultra high frequency electromagnetic radiation (UHFER-therapy) combined with psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy was used for the treatment of asthenic states in patients with remote consequences of closed head injury (CHI), who were being influenced by factors of radioecological catastrophe. In total 82 patients were studied (61 women and 21 men): 55 patients composed the study group and 27 — control. Recovery in the study group was noted in 50.9% of cases, significant improvement — in 41.5% improvement — in 7.6%. In the control group without UHFER-therapy recovery was noted in 3.7% cases, significant improvement — in 48.1% improvement — in 40.7%, in 7.5% there were no change in the patients’ state.

Key words: long-term consequences of closed head injury, fatigue, depression, short-wave therapy.
